My first few weeks of CAPS this semester have been amazing. I got BLS recertified, learned how to tape and ankle, and got to teach part of vital signs. These are valuable skills because I want to be a nurse (BSN), and then go back to school to get either a nurse practitioners degree or a nurse anesthetist. I also love the leadership opportunities that are given to previous CAPS students, such as Med Terms. We thought of numerous activities for everyone, and we settled on a version of Family Feud. I didn't think I could learn much more about med terms, but this helped to refurbish my memory on medical terminology. I am really excited to help teach med terms for the rest of this semester. Finally, I can't wait to shadow my school personal trainer, and find out what the normal day looks like. All and all, I'm very eager for what's to come!
