My favorite thing this week was visiting the KU Edwards Campus and testing our bodies. It was interesting to learn about the campus and what professions were there. We then went into the Lab and weighted ourselves to then perform the testing. We started with our skin folds, and we helped each other measure them. Mine came out that I was average, which was a good sign that I'm staying healthy. After that we did the vertical jump test, and we did three trials, but kept our best one. Mine measured out at 49 cm and with all the calculations turns out I'm in the 90+ percentile for the muscular watts and height. I wanted to test if warming up made a difference, so I went outside and ran a few laps around the building with Olivia and Aliana cheering me on. I came in and performed the test again and got 53 cm, which was a 4 cm increase. All and all, I loved the mathematics of this trip, and it was fun to test our bodys to see what they're capable of.
