This week was an exciting week with it being my first time shadowing the trainer. On Monday Olivia, Aliana, and I taught the Medical Terminology for the Integumentary System. I will say at the beginning we were both really nervous, but we caught on after a while. It helped a lot with having the book out to refer to. I felt that the Jeopardy game helped with retaining the knowledge that they learned. All and all, it was a good experience teaching, and I grew in my teaching skills.

On Tuesday, we started with the blood typing lab. Many students were very apprehensive about pricking their fingers, but it's not too bad. I reassured my blood type was AB+, meaning that I can practically intake anyone's blood. After the lab, Olivia and I helped out with a middle school visiting,

On Wednesday we reviewed parts of the ankle, and learned testing techniques to specify which muscle, bone, or ligament is injured. After that I got to talk with my trainer, and watch her tape students ankles. I then taped an ankle for her, and she gave me tips and tricks. Come to find out she can tape an ankle in 32 seconds!!

On Thursday we practiced Med Terms, and prepared for the next med term presentation. I'm also working with the trainer tonight, and over the weekend for the Regional Wrestling meet.
